Photo of the Week: The 'ole ball field

This past Memorial Day I took a nostalgia walk around my hometown and one of the places I visited was the old high school (now the intermediate school since 2014/2015). I knew there had been changes in the 18 years since I graduated but it was still a shock to see what had happened to the football field and track: the scoreboard gone, the bleachers gone, the fences gone, most of the lights gone, the rubber track surface gone and the concrete underneath in the process of being torn up, and the grass looked to be about a foot tall. All that remained were the pressbox and concession stand. A drastic change since I played my last game there in October 2007, a 14-12 victory.
